Hi I’m mark Bernstein I’m a divorce attorney in Westchester in bronx county and today I’m going to discuss when do you know if you’re ready for a divorce hi I’m Mark Bernstein and today I’m going to discuss how do you know if you’re ready for divorce firstly I’m not a therapist so I I don’t know it’s a very personal decision that you need to make what I can tell you is what I’ve seen over my 30 years of experience some of the symptoms of some of the things i see that are in the household first we see that the parties are simply cohabitating their coexisting they don’t really have relationship together they usually physically living in separate rooms ones living on the couch there’s no connection anymore there’s no affection anymore between the parties also if it gets to a point where the parties of fighting so much where it’s unsafe for one of the parties to be there now that you need a divorce but you also need an order protection because you cannot be in a situation where it’s unsafe I also see people coming and feeling fairly miserable and if they if they feel that way if they feel there’s no hope if they have no desire to go to marriage counseling and you need both of you to go to marriage counseling so both parties don’t want to go and you don’t like your life and you’d rather be on your own you think you’d be happier on your own it’s probably a time to consider seeking a divorce most importantly if there’s a complete lack of communication if you pass each other in the hall and don’t even acknowledge each other’s existence and this has been going on for at least three months it’s probably time you consider a divorce this is Mark Bernstein if you’d like to discuss this further please give me a call.
